Cantarini, Simone (1612-1648)

Also known as il Pesarese and Simone da Pesaro, he was an Italian Baroque painter and printmaker.
We can say that Cantarini was one of the most gifted engravers who worked in Italy in the wake of the Carracci, and today perhaps he has greater prominence as an engraver than as a painter.
