One of the most important Catalan artists. His engravings follow in the footsteps of Goya and Fortuny in their quality.
He trained in Barcelona and Paris. He took an active part in the main publications of the time, such as Papitu, Picarol and Iberia, often using the pseudonym Babel. Recognised as an artist of satirical humour and cartoonist.
Palau Antiguitats dedicated a monographic exhibition to him in 2022 in which we question this historically noucentista attribution of his work.
