He was one of the main Spanish caricaturists of the first half of the 20th century.
He was born on August 29, 1882 in Barcelona. Considered a innovator of the genre for his synthetic and expressive strokes that he published in the Catalan press (until 1912) and Madrid (until 1936). He was one of the main signatures of España magazine and the newspaper El Sol. When the civil war broke out he returned to Barcelona to draw for the newspaper La Vanguardia.​
Co-founder in 1933 of the Association of Friends of the Soviet Union, created at a time when the right maintained a condemnatory tone in relation to stories about the achievements and problems of socialism in the Soviet Union. He went into exile in Paris and Havana, where he died a few months after his arrival, on June 26, 1940.
