The President of the Republic, Manuel Azaña, commissioned a print run of Goya’s engravings to raise funds during the Civil War. Adolfo Rupérez was Head of Printing at the National School of Graphic Arts and the author of these prints in 1937, printed with him as Head of the Workshop. Considered one of the best of all the editions.
