His artistic and academic life straddled Madrid and Valencia, between the San Fernando and San Carlos academies.
He participated in the most ambitious projects of the Royal Printing House, engraving several of the plates for Ibarra’s Quixote. He also participated in other editions of classical works for this printer.
Engraver to Charles IV from 1799, he devoted the last years of his life to engraving marine charts and coastal plans for the Secretary of State.
