HIPÓLITO ROVIRA MERI (1695-1765)
Spain, 18th century.
Pencil on laid paper.
On the back, in ink: Rovira.
Female figure standing on a pedestal dressed in a tunic and wearing a cloak that she gathers with her left hand over her chest. The drawing is done in pencil with a precise stroke when defining the silhouette and delimiting the forms. It shows a very marked stylistic similarity with the figures in the painting in the Dome Room of the Palace of the Marquis of Dos Aguas, National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts of Valencia.
