Drawing that includes the events carried out during the Jubilee of Leo XIII, celebrated in St. Peter’s in the Vatican, in 1888. It was probably to be reproduced later in an engraving for a magazine of the time (La Ilustración Artística,…).

José Echenagusia Errazquin, nicknamed Echena, was a Basque painter whose style is somewhere between academicism and preciosity. Echena was, along with Eduardo Zamacois, the first Basque artist of international renown, preceding Ignacio Zuloaga by several decades.
Rare and interesting.
Acceptable / Fair state of preservation. Slight cracks in the corners.
