Joan Miró built his unique plastic language from the interaction of primary symbolic archetypes. Simple motifs with deep roots in human consciousness and experience were treated with a simple, almost calligraphic drawing that refers us to a primitive and essential language that took root in the sources of the unconscious. The Sun, the Moon, the stars, the birds, the man and the woman formed the alphabet of this synthetic language from which Miró composed his work.
Without a doubt, the link between women and the Moon stands out among the Mironian elements. With his singular and characteristic stroke, the painter draws this feminine link between the human and the cosmic, a kind of mysterious, poetic and silent dialogue.
