Description: Approximate scale 1:800,000.

Graduated border. Rose of the compasses in fleur-de-lis. Orography with mountains in profile and rivers. Towns in profile. Coastal shading, sea with waves in “Z”. A boat, 2 sea monsters. Decorative cartouches with title and scale. Some limits, cartouches and figurative details illuminated. Upper right «62» handwritten in ink.

In this edition, Hondius includes 3 new maps to those of Mercator: Galícia, Limburg and Cataloniae Principatus. From this fourth edition onwards, the map of Catalonia continues to appear: in 4 versions in the fourth edition (between 1611-1619); in the fifth edition (1623); in 2 versions in the tenth edition (1628-1629). Between 1633 and 1641 the map is found in several more editions.

Cut near the imprint in the lower margin. Good state of preservation. Restored.
