Much of Perejaume’s work revolves around the idea of a dialogue with the landscape where paradox and irony are the keys that connect nature with its poetic dimension.

The present engraving shows a simple mountainous profile that seems to have absorbed within itself the nocturnal atmosphere that should surround it. The space that should be reserved for the representation of the sky is instead silent and empty.

The inversion produces surprising effects: the summit of the mountain appears covered in stars, and below we find a discreet crescent moon swallowed by the formidable visual weight of the base of the mountain, but at the same time from the depths of the night landscape.
