Etching and illuminated burin on laid paper.
The print, divided into two horizontal registers, shows the appearance of the Danube River along its long Central European course, with its meanders and waterfalls, passing through the Austrian towns of Strudl and Werbl. In the centre there is a label with the following indications: Incidit in Scyllam Cupiens Vitare Charybdim. Cataracta Danuvii vulgo Strudl et Werbl.
Good state of preservation. Old illumination. Light moisture stains on the left margin and some small paper tears.
